This ulu knife is decorated with a scrimshaw wolf, made by Alaskan artist Donna Wilcox. Ulu knives (pronounced "OO-loo") have been used by the Native Alaskan People for over five thousand years to skin fish, split hides, and make clothes, and scrimshaw is the traditional art of etching on the bones or antlers that make the handle. Today, the curved metal blade and easy-to-grip handle makes cutting meat, vegetables, or even brownies a breeze! Each handmade knife is slightly different.
