Masala chai is a spiced Indian black tea, harmoniously combining robust Assam black tea leaves with a blend of aromatic spices like cardamom from Kerala, India, and cinnamon, ginger, and cloves from small farms throughout Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, India. The spices are ground by hand in-house, resulting in a warm and flavorful beverage.

"Our signature chai is an exclusive in-house blend, passed down through generations of our founder’s family, and crafted with love and care. The black tea in this blend is sourced from the renowned tea estates of Assam, located in the northeastern part of India. Assam is famous for its bold, malty teas, thanks to its fertile soil and subtropical climate, which produce some of the most robust and flavorful teas in the world. The region’s rich tea-growing history dates back to the 19th century, and the estate we partner with upholds a tradition of excellence while embracing modern, eco-friendly practices.

The spices used in our chai are carefully selected from different parts of southern India, each known for producing some of the best and most aromatic spices globally. For example, the cardamom used in our blend is sourced from Kerala, a state in southwestern India that is famous for its high-quality, fragrant cardamom. Kerala's unique climate, with its tropical monsoon weather, is ideal for cultivating this spice, which is considered the finest in the world. Other spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cloves come from local farms throughout Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, known for their rich soil and diverse agricultural practices.

To ensure that our chai blend retains the full potency and nutritional benefits of the spices, we hand-grind each ingredient in-house. This process preserves the natural oils, flavors, and nutrients, ensuring that every cup you enjoy not only tastes rich and flavorful but also offers wellness benefits for your body."
