Artisanal cocoa butter lip balm made "tree-to-bar" in Suriname, the smallest country in South America on the northeastern shore of the continent. That means the hands doing the harvesting are the same as those that do the fermenting, drying and all other steps in chocolate making up to the packing and shipping of the bars and other products.

The lip balms contains ONLY minimally processed cacao (cocoa) butter from Tan Bun Skrati in Suriname. Cocoa butter is naturally anti-oxidant rich, and moisturizes & regenerates. Plus, it smells faintly like chocolate, and is completely safe to lick.

This is lip balm made with cocoa butter from Suriname; there are also 72%, 80%, and 100% dark chocolate bars available from Tan Bun Skrati.

"Skrati" is the Sranan Tongo word for processed cacao and the hot drink made with it that has been a Surinamese speciality for hundreds of years. The people at Tan Bun Skrati harvest twice a year from privately owned cacao gardens and orchards in the districts of Saramacca, Wanica, Para and Commewijne and then process the cacao in the Tan Bun Skrait studio in the capital city of Paramaribo.
